5 Tips for Stress-Free Wedding Photos & Video
Your wedding day should feel joyful, not stressful. But we know it can be easy to get caught up in schedules, details, and the pressure of making everything “perfect.” One of the biggest concerns we hear from couples is about their photos and video—Will we look awkward? Will there be enough time? Will we actually get to enjoy the day?
We get it. And that’s why we’ve put together a few of our favorite tips to help you feel relaxed and present, so your photos and film reflect the joy of your day—not the stress.
1. Build a Realistic Timeline (with a Little Wiggle Room)
Rushing is the fastest way to feel overwhelmed. We always recommend padding your timeline with extra breathing space. Things rarely run exactly on schedule, and that’s okay! Having 10–15 extra minutes here and there gives you time to breathe, laugh, and actually enjoy each moment without feeling like you’re being herded from one thing to the next.
2. Keep Your Details Ready to Go
Your dress, rings, invitations, perfume, shoes, and any meaningful keepsakes you want photographed—have them all in one spot. It makes the morning feel less chaotic and allows us to capture those little story details right away. Bonus: you’ll feel way more at ease knowing nothing is missing.
3. Trust Your Photo + Video Team
You’ve chosen professionals you connect with—now let us do the heavy lifting. We’ll guide you into natural poses, help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and make sure the day is documented beautifully. Your only job is to be in the moment with your person.
4. Consider a First Look (or Make It Intentional if You Don’t)
A first look isn’t for everyone, but it can take some pressure off by giving you private time together before the ceremony—and extra flexibility for photos. If you’d rather stick to tradition, that’s beautiful too! Just make sure your timeline allows for plenty of time after the ceremony so you’re not rushed. The key is being intentional with whichever choice feels most like you.
5. Focus on Each Other, Not the Camera
The best photos and films come from real moments—laughter, tears, inside jokes, little glances. Don’t worry about being “perfect.” The more you lean into being present with your partner, the more your love will shine through on camera.
At the end of the day, your wedding isn’t about the timeline, the poses, or even the photos and video—it’s about celebrating your love. The photos and films are just the keepsakes that help you relive it all. So take a breath, let the small things go, and soak it all in. We’ll be right there making sure every moment is preserved for you to look back on forever.
